Hampton Bay Winthrop 52 in. Rustic Bronze Ceiling Fan

Hampton Bay Winthrop ceiling fan
This fan is great if all you want is a fan. The light is worthless - more like a nightlight! It is so dim it's impossible to see anything under it! The light kit is ridiculous having only 3 tiny Christmas tree lights in a housing that is so shallow no other bulbs would ever fit. And forget about buying another light kit!! It is an "up mount" and what Home Depot tells me is that "most light kits now are side mount" or much smaller!! This fan is not worth it!

Progress Lighting P2500-30 42-Inch 5 Blade Fan with 3-Speed Reversible Motor with Reversible White or Washed Oak Blades, White

Look great, runs great -- but not silent
Fan looks great -- very classic, very clean, and I love that you can install it without the down-rod.

Only downside -- the motor hums. Our similarly priced hunter fan -- silent.

Ceiling Fan
Fan is Great. Could use a wider flange to cover more of the hole in the ceiling which became a bit bigger when removing old light.

Yosemite Home Decor Hurricane-RB 28-Inch Ceiling Fan with Light Kit and Teak/Roman Bronze blades, Oil Rubbed Bronze

Great Fan!
The fan installed easily. The main purpose for use is in a bedroom with a narrow pitched roof. Plenty of air circulation. Very quiet operation. Recommended product!

nice fan for the money
I needed a small ceiling fan that was sleek, quiet and affordable. I am happy with this fan and would recommend it. I had my electrician friend iinstall it so I am not sure how easy it is to do.

Westinghouse 7814565 Turbo Swirl 30-Inch 6-Blade Ceiling Fan, White with Opal Globe

Nice looker, poor performer
I purchased this fan for a small bedroom- maybe 9X13 in size? Installation was actually very easy. The fan weighs more than it looks but was still lighter than most larger ones. The installation kit was pretty much identical to any other fan and the install process was also the same except that the "light kit" comes preinstalled. Like several other reviewers I was momentarily puzzled about how the blades fasten to the motor, but happened to see the screwdriver slot on the underside of the light area. I wasn't sure at first if I was supposed to use it for fastening the blades, but I decided it would be easier than taking the thing apart. Ends up that's exactly what the slot was designed for. The only twist is that you must install the blades on the bracket before attaching the bracket to the motor unless you have access to the top of the blade after install. This is not possible in a low profile or direct to ceiling application.

My experience in real life with this fan was...

30 inch Turbo Swirl ceiling fan
I have a very small bedroom. This fan is very small and quiet, yet generates alot of air. The light portion of the fan could be brighter, and is candleabra base, which is harder to find. Over all I'm happy with it.

Good Fan, litle wobbly out the box
I installed one of these fans in my bathroom (which has a window) and it works great. I hooked it right up to the light switch so when the light is on the fan is on (or you can pull chain it). lightbulb was not standard and wouldn't accept a compacr fluorescent due to size.

Westinghouse 7804265 Vintage 52 Inch Ceiling Fan, Antique Brass Finish

Very Pleased with the Fans
Yes, I mean Fans, I bought 6 of these fans from Amazon over a period of a month and very happy with all of them. We installed all the fans our selves, of course the first one took sometime, but the rest went pretty quick and the installation was not that bad.

Pros: Quiet fan, doesn't wobble, Classy looking esp the Brushed Nickel finish, Warm weather/cold weather settings

Few things that could be better: some of the things in the box could have been assembled and ready to use, the light side of the reversible blade is a bit too light, hard to match things with it, the dark side only comes in rosewood, few more darker color options will be nice to have

I would recommend this fan to anyone who is looking for a fan on low price end and quality stuff.

Great Fans - Wish I had more rooms to put them in
So far I have purchased and hung seven (7) of these fans, replacing every ceiling fan in the house. Not only are they stylish and virtually silent and perfectly balanced, customer service from Westinghouse was fantastic. With the fans being shipped from Westinghouse to Amazon then to UPS and to my house, only one globe came broken out of a total of 21 of them. I called Westinghouse directly and was treated very nicely. A replacement globe was sent out and arrived in less than a week. I have no complaints with this fan or Westinghouse.

If you're looking for a brushed nickel and rosewood fan, you'll be very happy with these fans. Their quick hang design had each one up in about 15-30 minutes including assembly time. You can't go wrong with these.

Better than I thought it would be...
After looking at Lowes, I was angry that I could only find candelabra lights on their ceiling fans. I figured I'd order one online, but eventually found out some MORON passed a law a few years back saying ceiling fans can ONLY have candelabra lights!!! WHY? THat is just stupid! So I ordered some candelabra conversion fixtures to aid me in my quest for better lighting, and ordered this fan, knowing I could fix the problem.

We got it installed last weekend, and it turned out MUCH better than I thought it would be. I'm flooded with light, and did not feel the need to replace the bulbs, or use the conversion fixtures. I still think it's criminal for some bureaucrat to tell me what I can and can not use for my own lights in my own home, but this is not automatically going to need more light. I'm using it in a bedroom, and it's plenty of light in there. Not sure it would do in a kitchen, but my husband liked it so much he made me go out and buy him a fan for his office,...

Monte Carlo 5OR52TW Ornate 52-Inch 5-Blade Ceiling Fan with Matte White Blades, Textured White

VERY Disappointed - Poor Quality - Cheap Look
Photo on the ad looked great -- Good looks at what seemed a fair price. I thought I was getting 3-dimensional ornamentation on this fan. Instead what arrived was a cheap design that was stamped on. Fan itself is not of high quality. I have had much better looking and performing fans for less money. I would not buy from this company unless I actually saw the product in person and in operation.

Hampton Bay Southwind 52 in.Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan

Great fan for the price and does not look cheap!!
The only issue is that you can't scrub the wings too hard or it will cheap. Also, it was not a pocket breaker on tbe electric bill.

Hunter 28707 Auberville 44-Inch Single Light 5-Blade Ceiling Fan, Black with 5 Walnut/Light Cherry Blades and Swirled Marble Glass Light Bowl

Nice Looking Fan
We haven't had the fan installed yet but it looks like a nice, quality lighting accessory for my son's bedroom. It was certainly available at a very competitive price.

Very Pleased
We installed this fan today and though it took about 20 minutes, it well exceeds our expectations. It looks beautiful and works great. Quiet and just what we wanted. A great price too!

light does not work
The fan itself is beautiful but after my husband, who has experience in construction, installed the light we could not get the light component to work. Customer service would only send him a partial replacement component, not the part of the light fixture that was faulty. By the time we had dealt with Hunter and looked locally for a replacement part, the return on the fan had expired. I would not recommend purchasing this fan as Hunter has poor customer service and now due to the difficulties in working them we have to completely replace the fan with a local product.
