Some good, some bad.
The machine work on this product is not good. It has a lot of slop, and mine will not hold a chisel blade square. Unfortunately I bought it at a tool show while I was traveling and am stuck with it. Don't make the same mistake I did!
Update: I'm not stuck with it. Trend has offered to send me a replacement as long as I send them the original for analysis, or I can have a refund. I really want this thing to work! I'll update the rating/review after I attempt to de-skew the chisels that fell victim to the first iteration.
Final update: I received a replacement and had time to check it out over the weekend. This one is not exactly the same as the one I had previously. Thankfully, it is much better. It's much more solid in the hand, has virtually no slop, and holds the chisels square. It also lacks the clips that hold the retaining rod for the brass roller. On the previous version, these clips protruded below the brass roller, causing them to grind on the whetstone...

I have been using this honing guide for three years now and find it easy to use, effecient and always gives great results , completely square finish and a perfect edge. I found that any honing guide must clamp from the sides to keep the tool square, any guide clamping the tool from top to bottom tends to come off square.
Setting the angle is ingenious, simplicity always produces the best products. Love it and wouldn't be without it !
