Has plastic and other mysterious materials! Be aware! For those of you looking for all ceramic kettle without any toxic plastics or other materials leeching into your water be aware and don't trust this company. There IS plastic inside plus some metal (maybe stainless but they would not tell me) on the bottom but could be coated with something feels coated, plus its a disk so its attached to something under it which you can't see....so water could be going under there and there could be rust under there you can't see and also with what is this disk connected to to the rest of the machine? You cannot see under it and its not one piece its placed on the bottom with mystery underneath it! I emailed the company and they refused to disclose info! All they said its FDA approved! So are about 1000 other chemicals doesn't mean its safe or should be in your water for you to drink. So overall you are better off with solid plain stainless kettle or just plain glass! Don't trust this kettle if...
