EXPLODING GLASS DOOR!!
Do not buy this toaster oven (Model TO1216B) and seriously consider staying away from all Black & Decker toaster/convection ovens. The glass of this door exploded across our kitchen with such force that it broke the door and glass shards were found as much as 8-10 ft away. Thank goodness that no one was standing close by or they would have been injured.
We have since read reviews with similar complaints of the B & D ovens with exploding glass doors in the model TO1420B. Black & Decker is aware of this issue but doesn't seem to be addressing whatever the problem is.
For the safety of your family, stay away from this product!
Biggest waste of money
This is the biggest piece of crap toaster oven. I've never bothered to take the time to write reviews because I honestly could care less and the majority of the time the product I purchase lasts long enough for me to believe it to be a wash. However, this piece of crap was broken within a week. It vibrates EXTREMELY loud on and off anytime your doing anything with it. I've given it a tap and it will stop but I now have dents on the side because this is made out of the thinnest metal around. I bought it to replace a toaster oven I've had for 4+ years because it was just getting too hard too clean. I just now threw this piece of crap out, and went back to my old one. While it's not as big, it has zero dents, cooks properly, and doesn't disrupt movies with loud noise when trying to cook a pizza.
Has some Flaws
I bought this toaster oven to replace an Oster, just like it, that had stopped heating and working. This B&D model is big, and has good features for toast, bake, etc. But it gets vey hot all over. #1 - You can easily burn yourself by touching any part of it while in use. #2 - The door, when you open it just drops down on the counter, there is no spring or stopper. #3 - It also doesn't grab the shelf to pull out with it when you open. #4 - The crumb tray is only accessible from the inside, which means it's burning hot to remove and clean. Theses are 4 major flaws for me, they may not be for someone else. But I had to return it, and purchased a Cuisinart instead.
